Puig i Espigall Jordi

Jordi Puig was graduated as an environmentalist in 2000. He holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences, specializing in Climate Change and Global Environmental Change.

He has been member of the Council of the Catalan Land stewardship Network and coordinated the agricultural stewardship group. Also, he has been part of the Catalan Commission of Local Varieties.

He has published several scientific articles, some of them with international impact. He is the author or co-author of several books in the field of natural and cultural heritage. But above all, he has been a local varieties horticulturist for the last 19 years.

His research area has been focused on agrobiodiversity and effects of the global warming in agriculture.
