Bartrina Galan Carme

Carme Bartrina Galan is graduated in Environmental Science at University of Barcelona in 2020 and she completed her MSc in Terrestrial Ecology and Biodiversity Management at Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2021. During her master thesis she studied the relationship between meteorological conditions, seed production and edible dormouse reproduction to understand how this will affect the future viability of dormouse populations (Glis glis) in the Natural Parks of Montseny and Montnegre i el Corredor. After this experience her interest for small terrestrial mammals’ species and citizen science projects increased.

She joined the Natural Sciences Museum of Granollers in March 2021. Nowadays, she is part of the Dormouse Project team, where she has been conducting some field work as well as helping with the coordination and website of the project. Moreover, she has been working in some other projects such as studying the diet of common genet (Genetta genetta).
